  • Exposure to chemicals primarily takes place through the respiratory system and via the skin, though in some cases chemicals can also be swallowed. In addition to normal production situations, exposure can also be signifi cant during maintenance and cleaning work, as well as in various disturbance situations.
  • Always use the appropriate personal protective equipment when handling dangerous substances.
  • Familiarise yourself with instructions and safety data sheets for chemicals in use in departments.
